For example, if you want to build a large castle, you can select a huge area and instantly fill that area in with stone, rather than having to place each block individually. This one allows a player to easily select a large area by dragging the mouse around it and then you can use other tools to fill, delete, smooth, paint, or heal the selected area. The final and probably most impressive tool of the bunch was the selection tool. This, coupled with the ability for players to place spheres and any size block they want, will allow users to create incredibly detailed structures.

In our demo, I was shown several castles that the designers had created, many with steep angled edges. With EQNL's line tool, you can create any sort of angled block you want simply by dragging the tool to your desired location. Usually in block building games, you can only build things at a 45 degree angle. I created a building out of stone then took the paint tool to make it metal, then ice. If you want to change the look of your structures, EQNL also has a paint brush which you can use to give something a new texture. There is a even a sphere brush so that you can easily create circular structures. Once you've placed some blocks, you can use more advanced tools like the smooth tool to create sloping edges that look more eroded and natural. If you make a mistake, there's a nifty heal tool that brings whatever you've selected back to its original state. A home made of stone and straw.EQNL also incorporates a delete tool, which allows a player to erase negative space and make things like trenches or draw words in walls.
